A History of Hope

In 1981, a group of community leaders joined together and applied for a non-commercial radio license in Tyler, Texas. It was their hope to build a stronger Christian community by creating a Christian radio station in East Texas to broadcast God’s Word through music and programming. A license was granted and in 1983, 89.5 KVNE began its mission of hope and encouragement.
