About Encouragement FM  
Twenty-Four hours a day, seven days a week, God uses 89.5 KVNE as the "Voice of Encouragement" and 91.3 KGLY in the process of "Uplifting" East Texas and beyond. As non-commercial stations, operated by a non-profit corporation, KVNE & KGLY are perfectly structured to serve our listeners with the best in Christian music, programs, information and entertainment. In 1981, a group of Christians in the Tyler area applied for and received a license from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for a non-commercial radio station. On October 29, 1983, 89.5 KVNE began broadcasting 19 hours a day with 50,000 watts of power. 91.3 KGLY soon followed, going on the air on April 29, 1988. |
